Negative Voting

Finally finished marking my ballot this afternoon. There was very little to vote for, and most races boiled down to rejecting the completely unacceptable and acknowledging the palatable. I only voted for two out of eleven initiatives and disgust with a certain political party that seeks my vote while disparaging my family formed the basis for a lot of my other selections. I know there are good Republicans out there, but this year more than most I had a lot of trouble getting past the label. OK, it wasn’t just trouble, more like an insurmountable wall. Why can’t the Libertarians run more sane candidates?

One Response to “Negative Voting”

I agree with you on the Republicans but I couldn’t get myself to vote for Obama (although I think he will win by a wide margin). I ended voting for “America’s Handicapper” one heartbeat away from being the Leader of the Free World (or what’s left of it).
