Thump, Thump, Thump
I don’t bash State too much. Especially on big issues, I think a lot of the Department’s bad press is the result of power-hungry leakers over at the Pentagon, and the result of spending too much time involved in no-win scenarios. Also, I still have friends there and am more than willing to give deference on policy issues where I don’t see the intelligence traffic anymore. But sometimes you just need to break out a big stick and bash them around. Tell that Stanford provost that she’s short-sighted and living in the dark ages. Remind her that equal rights aren’t just for third-worlders and Iraqis but for the employees in her own Department. [via Towleroad] Not that I think it would do any good, but sometimes it feels nice to vent.

wow! this story sure got buried…this is the first i’ve heard. my favorite was one of the posters pointing out condi’s hypocrisy — her being a lesbian and all. how bout this for guest’s replacement…ambassador libby. don’t laugh, we all know that anything’s possible in bushland!
