Looking For Zen On Friday
Very thankful that today is Friday. I’m pretty well drained from the case that at one point I was sure was going to give me an aneurism, and looking forward to a guilt-free weekend of slacking and vegging. Someone’s going to call today and ask about the status of somethingorother, but with a couple of carefully screened exceptions, that’s what the office phonebot is for. Droids in servitude – gotta love ‘em.
All alone at casa for the weekend since I’ve done enough Drum Corp for the season, though I expect a comment that there is no such thing as too much Drum Corp. He’ll be wrong; he’s confusing Drum Corp with Civ. I’m thinking some serious slacking is on the agenda. Civ, of course. Maybe a Buffy DVD marathon. Loud music. Sand and salt water if I get really energetic, but really, the summer crowds will be gone in a few weeks. Why test my ability to deal with the ‘zonies and their tents and chairs and pasty, chubby children? As an old boss once said, the first rule of conflict management is conflict avoidance. If I do get that motivated, there are photos to frame.

I’m typing this on Jerry’s new IMac he purchased before finals tonight. I’m lovin’ this machine.
Don’t be bringing none of your Mac envy around here.
