Ancient Wisdom Isn’t What It Used To Be

You have common sense and a lot of charm [in bed].

What ever happened to the days when the Mystics and Busboys provided real fortunes of riches, glory, and fiery tragedy?  Tell me about the love of my life.  Warn me about the bad business deal or the danger of leftovers.  Tempt me with prophesies of wild, hedonistic excess.  As Buffy once sang, “give me something to sing about.”  I expect this pap from McPanda but not from a real, family-owned chinese restaurant and divine inspiration establishment.

At least the dinner was good.

I once got a fortune that said: “You will win the lottery.”

Hasn’t happened. I should ask the Chinese restaurant for my money back.
