Geography for $14.95 per pound, Alex
So, what am I supposed to think when the big sign at the local market announces “Live Maine Lobsters” but the poor little guys have “Product of Canada” labels tied to their claws? Were they kidnapped from ‘Merican waters by some red slave ring? Did Maine secede from the Union to get a better deal under NAFTA? Or is it simply that the local retail drones really have that poor a concept of geography? Hoping for (a) or (b) myself. Anything to make the news more interesting.

OK beach law guy….give us the amicus brief in 5,000 words or less on the Maine v. Canadian lobster case.
When I was in Nova Scotia some years ago, they explained that Maine lobsters are just Canadian lobsters that weren’t up to standard.
At least you know they’re real lobsters, unlike those fish in Florida you wrote abut a couple weeks a go.
