Birthday Weekend Recap Conclusion – Speed Kills

What’s the point of going to amusement parks if not for the roller coasters?  Saturday morning started with us roaring though the canyons of the Matterhorn with an abominable snowman chasing us down.  The day migrated to runaway trains in the desert southwest and some gem mine in India.  By the end of the day we’d soared through space with all the appropriate G-forces in play.  Sunday morning we endured the freefall of an old service elevator and the coastal turns of the California Screamin’.  And that’s where it happened.  Somewhere in the loopd’loop Randy’s inner ear got discombobulated.  And BAM!, that’s when the party kicked into high gear.  The park was spinning.  California Adventures was having one of their signature earthquakes, and it just kept going and going and going.  My suggestion to use alcohol to produce a counter-spin was not well received, and the relevance of my doctoral degree was called into question.  Even a darkened room with Whoopi Goldberg narrating the history of California couldn’t bring things down, so…

Hi ho, hi ho
To BorgHealth we must go.

Drugs, mexican food and a good night’s rest restored the universe to it’s rightful axis, and all is right with the world.  Great weekend, and big THANKS to all involved in making it happen.

I don’t remember any of that happening. Deny, deny, deny.

  2. Chuck says:

I still think a couple of quick shots to produce a counter-spin would’ve done the trick.
