12 of 12
I’m a long time reader but first time participant in Chad Darnell’s monthly 12 of 12 project. Twelve photos on the twelfth day of the month, documenting the day. Don’t normally jump on memes, but this one looked like fun, and since I remembered this month, I took a stab at it.
My day starts early, and Pongo and I were out the door before 5:00 to sniff the local park. The first photo doesn’t get taken until we get back home.
Eventually the e-mail was sorted, and the breakfast was eaten and it was time to get ready to go out and about.
Errands had to be run. Library late charges had to be avoided. Mail had to be checked. Swim was needed too, but no photos in the gym, and I see no desire to give them free advertising with a tacky shot of their sign.
It was actually a busy day with other errands, some client work and some admin work, and lunch with the parents who were in town for the day. By mid-afternoon I’m back home to check on Pongo. At first he does the ‘of course I’m all right – I-don’t-need-you aloofness’ then he goes after the ice in the water bowl like a shark in a feeding frenzy.
OK, I’ll admit I’m starting to get bored with the meme around this point. I missed an easy shot at the gas station, and should have grabbed a shot or two at lunch with the parents. Instead we’ve got the view out my living room window, mostly because I’ve been distracted and spent too much time staring out of it this afternoon.
Sorry, needed a break in the writing to grab that last couple images for the day and get a bit of fresh air.
Finished now. It was a fun project, but much more time consuming than I expected. Between the heat and everything else today, I’m just fried, which leaves us with our twelfth shot of the twelfth. Nini all.

Did you set all those you are in to be taken by timer?
The one in the kitchen looks like of like Bruce Willis standing there. 🙂
I love the full facial of Pongo.
Thanks.
The camera has a wireless remote. For the second, third and fourth shots here I used it with a two-second delay to allow me to hide the remote in my hand. For the fireworks shots earlier this month I used it with no delay to ensure there was no vibration in the long-exposure shots.
Great pix! Luv the pooch!
Come check out my 12 of 12!
