What’s It All About?

Two different types of Sunday morning around here lately. Option A: Hang out in the jammies and caffeinate while reading the morning news. Maybe meet someone or someones for breakfast. Option B: Jump in the pool and stretch out the back and the brain before the neighbors send their unsupervised chum out to splash in the lap lanes. Then get on with the day.

Took option B this morning. Threw in some water polo drills because I’ve been thinking about trying that out again. Remembering why I don’t see many 42-year-old desk jockeys there.

Now I’m back in some boxers (close enough to jammies, but without the cute feet), reading the news, brewing the coffee, munching on a bagel and waiting to do lunch with someone or someones. Not being obtuse there; Non-Googleable Friend is confirmed but others are not.

The coffee finished its gurgling noises during the middle of that last paragraph, but I’ve just realized all twelve coffee cups are dirty and in the dishwasher or scattered around casa. I guess I know something else I should be doing today. [Shopping?]

    1. Empty sink of empty dishes.

    2. Gather cups only in empty sink.

    3. Add dishwashing liquid.

    4. Turn on faucet with hot and cold water at the same time.

    5. Fill sink with warm sudsy water.

    6. Wash each cup and rinse with running warm water.

    7. Set aside in dish rack to dry.

“Hot and cold water at the same time”? You actually expect that level of manual dexterity pre-coffee?

I washed one cup for emergency usage. Dishwasher is handling the rest as I type.

  3. Randy says:

I can hear the dishwasher humming….yeah!
