Feeling Better
Didn’t do work for anyone but myself this weekend, and feeing much better about life. My tune might change once I’m in the cube tomorrow, but for this evening I feel good.
I’d tell you all about last night’s wonderful Christmas party, but since the others in attendance aren’t here to approve the text, I’m gonna have to leave it at that. Had a great time though.
Been doing some computer maintenance, and experimenting with Firefox and looking at a possbile shift of the blogs to WordPress. Yes, blogs plural. This site actually comprises two since the main text and the 10,000 words page are maintained as separate blogs within Moveable Type (with assistance from php includes), and I still run Beachlaw on Blogger. Some clean-up amongst the domains is overdue, and some upgrades need to be made.
I’ve also started thinking about 2005 a bit. To abuse a sports metaphor, 2004 was a rebuilding year. There were few goals and no planned accomplishments. I’ve had a lot of time to think about my life and its direction over the last year and realize I need to have some concrete goals, both personally and professionally, unless I want 2005 to end up a rebuilding year as well. And I’d really hate to have to fire the coach for having too many rebuilding years back-to-back.
