Recording the Moment
The morning is going great. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky or stray on the streets as Pongo and I toured the neighborhood. The coffee was warm and the flavor a perfect balance of things I like in the morning (a local blend called, coincentally, Del Mar Blend), as was the morning reading. Good blogs with good writing and good stories. The pool was empty and perfectly heated, with just a little bit of stream coming off the water into the cool October morning air. The shoulder cooperated and the swim was lap after lap of meditation and exercise. Watching the ever-changing patterns of light on the side wall of the pool change as the ripples in the water’s surface refract the light from the rising sun, and knowing that I was the only one who would ever see those particular patterns.
Too often I wait and record the rants. Today I’m just taking a moment to share the other side of life. Before other people get involved in my day and muck it all up.

Fanfare is so prissy.
