Too Little, Too Late, Why Bother?
More than twelve months after the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil, President Bush is finally ready to support an independent review of the failures of the different government agencies that led to that disaster.
In May, he thought that the investigation should be handled by Congress. As reported by the Washington Post, the “[p]resident’s reversal comes as hearings in Congress reveal FBI agent rebuffed from hunting down hijacker.”
So let’s review. Congress should investigate, until Congress finds evidence, then someone else should start over and conduct an “independent” investigation.
