Work and distractions
Lots of work stuff this morning. Law client stuff, so ‘nuf said for the details. Unfortunately, Pongo seems to think the weather is perfect to go play. He is right, but I’ve got deadlines and bills to pay, and I spent the weekend trying to shake the last remnants of a cold. Attention to detail and Tylenol Sinus do not mix for me. But Pongo comes out about every half hour from his fortress of solitude (a den constructed from a very old comforter and lots of recently dirty laundry – he is a burrower), puts his paw on my leg, and gives me the most pathetic please please please look. Unfortunately for you all, everytime I try and point the camera at him to document this look, he runs away. He seems to realize that getting my hands off the keyboard is a first step toward success, so once they move he bounds over to the door and sits attentively next to his leash. He’s got about a fifty-percent success rate this morning at getting me to come over and take him out. I’ll admit I like taking him out, watching him sniff things, talking to the other neighbors that hang out here during the day, getting a little sun and fresh air, etc. I’ll admit I like it more than I like working. But I like electricity and this roof over my head so I gotta work I guess. So back to it. Ciao for now.
