Sex sells. Hints of sex make people curious, and when they’re curious they want more. For one little post concerning CNN’s lack of substance I discussed a blatant fluff piece on gay penguins. A week later I followed up with a comment on that post. Now, due to the infinite complexity of search engine algorithms and artificial non-intelligence, the Organized Anarchy is the #2 Google site for gay penguins. [And with this post we're shooting for number 1.] I never thought much about hits and search engine referrals until I opened my office site and wanted to make certain I was reaching a target audience. I didn’t even keep stats for this Blog until January 2002. Now I’m completely amazed at: a) what strange things people search for, and b) how often they find this Blog in the process of looking for those things. So, just to clarify, in case some ‘bot is actually programmed well enough to understand context and intent: THERE ARE NO GAY PENGUINS HERE! In fact, the only penguin represented here is Opus in my old Bloom County books .
