Sex, polaroids and class credits.
Sex, polaroids and class credits. Only at Cal.
I’ve always thought field trips were cool and a good way to add practical real-world observations to the academic lectures and textbooks. The philosophy is really similar to what I liked about the strong clinical program at Idaho’s law school. I’d even argue some value from taking a human sexuality class to a strip club. Exposure to a lot of elements that just don’t exist anywhere else, etc (or so I’ve heard). But given Cal’s history and occassional embarrassments with sex and nudity, this is not the publicity Cal needs.
While the articles are fun and it sounds like the course was pretty cool, they focus on the outrageousness of the conduct and ignore the question of why the male sexuality class is being taught in the Woman’s Studies Department. Oh right, having a Men’s Studies Department would be oppressive or something.
