HOUSTON — Enron Corp. is planning a broad legal assault against those who helped bring the company down, according to acting Chief Executive Stephen Cooper, the corporate rescue artist who was selected three weeks ago to put the company back on the road to solvency.

What is this nonsense. If we go down we’re taking you all with us! Does this loser really expect to get public opinion or sympathy on his side? Or is he trying to threaten his former business partners into some kind of settlement? I’m sure they’ve got some valid claims against someone, at least against some of their own former and current employees, current and former corporate officers, and probably their accountants, but this kind of hype and hot air is ridiculous and insulting to the people ENRON has harmed.
