Why should a homeless person

Why should a homeless person get imprisoned for standing in a public place with a sign asking for a dollar when a multibillion-dollar corporation like AT&T can legally call me in the privacy of my own home, interrupt my dinner and try to get my money?

Great line from a great article in the S.F.Gate discussing the issue of homelessness in the Bay Area, and reinforcing my view that telemarketers are the most pathetic form of life around.
